Poor country, Japan

At present, Japanese food self-sufficiency ratio is 39%.

By the way, Japanese rice self-sufficiency ratio is 100%. However, the trade price of farmer is very cheap. For example, farmer earns 480kg of rice by 10m×100m rice paddy (1 tan), and the trade price is 6,000~7,000yen/30kg (it depends), so they earn about 100,000yen by 1 tan. It is definitely hard to continue their work and live. Therefore, young people leave from farming. Moreover, a lot of farmers are getting older and the average age is almost 70 yeas old.

We have to think and do something, really.
